Flipkart Axis Bank Credit Card

7.5% on Myntra and 5% on Flipkart, each capped at ₹4,000 a quarter, 4% at some partners and 1% elsewhere. See card

Cashback SBI Card

5% on online spends at almost any site, 1% offline, with exclusions. The cap per statement cycle was lowered in April 2026, so it suits moderate online spenders best. See card

Tata Neu HDFC Bank cards

How to choose an online shopping credit card

  1. Check your order history. Where did you spend the most in the last 6 months?
  2. Compare caps with your spend. A 5% card capped at a low amount may give less than a card with a lower rate but a higher cap.
  3. Check what's excluded. Gift cards, wallet loads, EMI purchases and some categories often earn nothing.
  4. Look at how rewards are paid. Statement credit is the most flexible; store balance or coins only help if you shop there.
  5. Use sale-day bank offers too. Big sales often have extra instant discounts for specific cards. These are separate from the card's regular cashback.

Stay safe while shopping online

  • Turn on online use only when you need it, and set a spend limit in your bank app.
  • Use saved (tokenised) cards on trusted sites instead of typing your card number every time.
  • Consider a virtual credit card for new or rarely used sites.
  • Never share your OTP. Read more on protecting yourself from card fraud.

The bottom line

Match the card to the stores you use most, check the caps and pay in full every month. For many shoppers, one store card plus one general cashback card is the sweet spot.
